November 14, 2022 - November 15, 2022

The University of Wisconsin Diversity Forum: the Power of Remembering: Reclaiming Our Legacies to Imagine New Futures will be November 14th and 15th 8:30-5:30. This event will be online and in-person.  We’ll have virtual lunch meetings each day for Department members to check in and discuss sessions as well as talk about ways to take action in our Department.

About

The theme for the 2022 Diversity Forum will be The Power of Remembering: Reclaiming Our Legacies to Imagine New Futures, in an effort to understand and utilize the lessons learned from the past to inform current and future equity-minded policies, practices, and curricula, and to create living and learning communities characterized by organizational and inclusive excellence.

The 2022 Diversity Forum will be held November 14 and 15 at Union South. Sessions will also be streamed online. The event is free and open to the public.

Who Should Attend

The Diversity Forum welcomes the campus and public annually for a free, two-day conference focused on the most pressing issues of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. The goal of the conference is to share the latest knowledge and research, help attendees learn new perspectives and best practices, and activate attendees to make positive changes in the world. Attendees hear from authors, community organizers, activists, researchers, and others working in the areas of diversity, equity, social justice, and inclusion, as well as participate in engaging workshops to further their personal and professional development and find new ways to make a positive impact on the world.
