HELI 2021 will take place via 3 virtual sessions to occur between May and August. Each session is designed to inspire and to celebrate achievement while also maintaining our high standard of keeping it real. We are opening up virtual programming to an expanded audience of HELI alumni, prospective HELI Scholars, on- and off campus experts and instructors, and lay members of the public who are curious about what community-academic partnerships are and what health equity scholars do.
Session 1 will occur on Thursday, May 27th and will feature 3 UW HELI alum and their community partners sharing about their work (see below), why it’s important, and how it may have value in work you do and settings you operate in. Session 1 will be facilitated by HELI 2016 alum Charles Rogers, PhD, Assistant Professor, University of Utah School of Medicine.
Please join us to learn from three health equity partnerships that are having impact by recognizing and drawing on unique community and academic knowledge and assets, taking action and making change!
